The beds are super hard. The pillows they Provide our small and flat, I had to literally roll up the bath towels so that I could have a pillow that would support my head,. The refrigerator in the room is subpar, barely cooling the cokes after six hours . The TV literally has nothing on it a few channels at best. Housekeeping did not come by and change our towels out or make our beds or clean up the room at all. They keep All the vending machines empty so that you have to buy their cokes or drinks at an exuberant amount of markup literally 5 to 8 bucks apiece. The property is beautiful. We went outside to enjoy the fireplace because it was cold out and It was not running so we could not enjoy the night on the river for the amount of money you pay a night for this place. You would expect things to be very nice there. Big fluffy pillows nice Softer medium bed them to come by and do your room and restock your towels. I literally had to go downstairs to the pool area to grab towels because we had. Set the old towels on the floor outside our room so they could be picked up and restocked, but they did not do so I was quite upset with my stay. In the fact, I expected more from the hotel than I got.

I've seen this hotel many times and never understood the high prices for a Courtyard. Finally decided to stay a night and the location is the best thing going. The rooms were good but hair all in the bathroom. A little more cleaning would be good. The welcome was okay but seemed the friendliness ended once the keys were handed over.

Staff gave fantastic service! Appreciate extra effort. I made reservations for wrong night - (my fault) and called hotel and Brenda /manager was a huge help in making it right for us! We were attending a funeral - just crazy time. So appreciate their empathy , professional help. They are packed usually - but seem to handle the crowds great! Room was very clean and location really central to many areas. Thanks everyone for your help! Nicely done

I have stayed at this Courtyard property multiple times, but during my recent visit, I found several aspects to be disappointing. The exterior of the property, its location, and the distinctive South Texas ambiance are impressive. However, the lobby and exterior appearance can be misleading, as the rooms and some amenities require significant maintenance and upgrades.

Upon entering my room, I noticed that the base of the air conditioning unit was falling apart, and the doors and cabinet doors were not properly aligned or closing correctly. In the bathroom, the wallpaper was peeling, and the bathmat was missing.

Housekeeping did not replace the disposable cups, restock the coffee bar, clean the toilet, restock the soap in the bathroom, or refresh the pillows on the bed as expected. Additionally, housekeeping does not bother to put their carts away for the night.

I also observed that the exterior buttons on the elevator were missing, and the lettering on the interior buttons had faded away, making it difficult to navigate.

In the fitness center, the ceiling appeared to be caving in, which presents a serious safety hazard. Furthermore, it seems that fitness equipment has gradually disappeared over the years, reducing the available amenities for guests.

I strongly encourage the property owner to invest in upgrading the rooms and amenities to provide an exceptional experience for future customers. Addressing these issues would greatly enhance the overall guest experience and maintain the property's otherwise excellent reputation.

This was my first trip to New Braunfels. The hotel was quite comfortable and very clean. The beds were comfy as were the pillows. The bathroom was quite spacious and very clean with no drippy faucets.

I was there for a family wedding so the place was hopping with family and friends. There was plenty of hanging out space in the lobby for visiting.

Breakfast in the mornings included Starbucks coffee and food cooked to order rather than the "too long in the warmer" food that you get at most hotels. The lobby store included Blue Bell Ice Cream in several flavors and in the evenings the Starbucks doubled as a bar. There was food available from there for lunch and dinner. I believe it was mostly sandwiches and tacos, but that's way better than most hotels that don't offer food at all after breakfast.

There are a number of restaurants and stores nearby. I didn't actually do any of that because when I wasn't attending a wedding event I was chatting with family and friends. We did eat dinner at a nearby Applebee's which was very good. On my way out of town I stopped at a nearby Buckee's.

All in all it was a very pleasant experience and I would absolutely stay there again.

The first night we stayed there was a loud band that could be heard with the doors closed. Had to be up bright and early the next morning and the band didn't stop playing until about 11:30pm.
We were there for 5 days and our room was never cleaned. And last, when I laid down in the tub and looked up at the ceiling there was a lip that had black mold. My wife and I contacted both Marriott and the hotel and nobody has ever contacted us about our stay. Very disappointed. I thought Marriott had higher standards than what we experienced.

We ended up here after our Airbnb was found to be uninhabitable. What an excellent surprise! This is a lovely hotel. The customer service is amazing. There is river access, a nice pool, and lots of space for hanging out outdoors. The proximity to so many cool things to do in New Braunfels, San Marcos, Gruene, San Antonio, and Austin was fantastic. Totally worth the cost.
The only two minor drawbacks were: the other guests did not mind their children at all. We had several very noisy kids playing in the hallways for way too long without any supervision. Second, the food at the bistro downstairs is definitely just reheated frozen food. It’s not a real restaurant.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Had a nice view and that was about it. employees seemed unhappy and seemed to be bothered by helping you. Hotel could be cleaned better imo. Wouldn't stay again not worth the price u pay.
