I’m a person who never misses a cleaning and I take dental hygiene seriously. My old dentist, whom I saw for 20 years, suddenly stopped his practice to oversee numerous dentist who practiced under his “supervision”. After 4 years of that, and botched work by a new dentist every time I went in, I went to Dr. Ma, per my mom’s recommendation! I couldn’t have been more impressed. All of the staff were sweet and friendly. The building was clean. Dr. Ma was professional, kind, and knowledgeable. I had some unexpected, minor work and a cleaning done in the same day! I LOVED that as I didn’t have to reschedule and come back. I am definitely a “let’s get this done” person, so that was awesome.
I will say, he didn’t use any numbing / anesthesia to do the work, which was slightly uncomfortable and different than what I’m used to, but the work feels solid and well done! So far, so good! I look forward to my next visit. I’m hoping this is my new home for dental care!

James and his staff is absolutely amazing. I have really bad anxiety about the dentist. They were all so sweet,reassuring, calming gentle . I did not feel any pain while he was working on me . I would highly recommend our dental ?

I am very unhappy with this dentist.
His Office staff and hygienist are the best, but Dr. Ma is arrogant, dismissive and has awful bedside manner in dealing with my mom who has dementia.
I took my mom in for her 6 month check up and the dental hygenist was super sweet and patient with my mom.
She went over in detail some issues and how we could fix them. Dr. Ma was not in that day which caught me by surprise because my mom had issues that needed to be followed up with. I don’t know why they scheduled my mom on a day he wouldn’t be there.
The hygienist suggested we go back the next day so the doctor could explain her options.
So, I had to take time out another day to take my mom to go see Dr. Ma.
When he walked in he looked at my mom and asked, “how can I help you!”. My mom, that has dementia.
He had no idea why we were there. Never looked at her chart or the computer to see any notes, at first.
Any place I’ve ever been to, they communicate and let the doctor know why we’re there.
I didn’t remember all the terminology the hygienist talked about the day before. I’ve never had a bridge, root canal and other issues she was having.
He was getting frustrated and I called him out on it. He did not like that what so ever.
He never apologized for his actions and never apologized for not knowing why we were there. There are more issues too but its to much to write here.
The ladies in the office were great but I feel like this office needs to be better organized and they need to have better communication. The doctor needs to look over some notes before walking in and asking the patient how can he help them. He should know why we’re there when he walks in.
Dr. Ma needs to work on his bedside manner. I see, I’m not the only one that has complained about that.

Dr. Ma is the best. Straightforward with advice and concerns and knows what he's doing. When I first met Dr. Ma I hadn't really been able to see a dentist other than western dental in years. He resolved my issues and I have counted on him since. His dental and office staff are also top notch. I've convinced my extended family to visit him and they are just as pleased.

The staff at Our Dental is awesome, they know me by name when I walk in the door. Dr James Ma has been my dentist for about ten years and I've always had nothing but good experiences with his work. I can't recommend his office enough. Great place for dental work.

Dr Ma’s office is great! Been going there for years. The hygienist Sharon is thorough and gentle. Rosemary the manager always remembers your name, and is very kind. The receptionist Alma is nice, and has a great smile.
