This was my first experience at A Better Back Clinic.

Doctor Hannah worked hard to relieve a good deal of tension and stress that I was carrying in my shoulders and my back.

When turning into the parking lot, look for the purple awning that says "Complete Health Services" for the front door. For first time patients, there is a $59 initial consultation package. They perform several different tests to see your current range, strength, and mobility, and a few x-rays are also included. The first appointment is about an hour and a half. A second appointment which is also included in the same package and is also about an hour and a half has a follow-up with reviewing the test results, a first adjustment, and a recommendation for treatment. Dr. Luck usually recommends not only adjustments, but physical therapy that the client will need to do at home for a more holistic and effective treatment. If you have any specific issues though, make sure to tell Dr. Luck about them. His standard check is more general and doesn't catch some specific issues. Treatment in the office includes e-stim and moist heat. They also have roller tables and wobble chairs to help loosen the joints. The staff was very friendly and customer service oriented. Costs were clearly explained, reasonable, and there was no pressure. You can either buy a package or pay a la carte.

Today was a busy day at Better Back Clinic. I had a year evaluation and it showed impressive improvement from 6 month the ago, and definite improvements from a year ago. It is so nice to be feeling less pain everyday! Dr. Luck amd his staff are friendly amd efficient. Also had a massage today and it felt so good. Took care of some big knots that have been forming apparently. Tried laser therapy, for he first time, for my back. It was painless and simple. I don’t k ow what results to look for since it’s early. It I am confident.

I am a 59 year old male. I eat well and am athletic. I went in to Better Back with the most severe pain I've yet experienced in my life after talking with some friends and seeing my GP (who ordered x-rays and an MRI). On a scale of 1 to 10 I rated my pain at 9 or maybe 8. 10 means I can't speak.

Dr. Luck took his own x-rays and a set questionnaire we talked through. He did not treat me on the first visit instead taking time to understand the condition and situation. I also provided the diagnostics from the GP's review. Dr. Luck went through it all with me. After that, lots of cracking.

Dr. Luck is down to Earth, personable, and focused. No nonsense, even. Treatments go pretty fast.

I can't really describe the pain I was in. It changed who I was as a person and affected my ability to think and reason while I was in its thrall, about 6 weeks. It was bad, I thought I might have to quit my desk job and become disabled. Quite a change for a 6' 2" 200 lbs guy who regularly rode centuries and climbed 14k mountains on his bike.

So, long story short: I got 2x per week treatments and did my at home therapy. It took about 4 weeks to wean off large amounts of ibuprofen and make it to the end of the work day. Haven't taken ibuprofen for 8 or so weeks now.

I will still require surgery, I will still require physical therapy, I will deal with this for the duration of my life. But that pain is gone. At the absolute least Better Back gave me the chance, time and tools to deal with this. But really, I couldn't have lived a normal life with that pain. So from, that vantage point, it's probably not an exaggeration to say I was given my life back. I'm very thankful for that and wanted to write Kevin, Cali, Jessie, and Jeanine a thoughtful and thorough review. And say thanks. I'll work to be a good partner in my treatment.

Update a year later
Dr. Luck still treats me, I am still pain free with full movement and I am still able to workout, bicycle, dance, etc. Thank you Dr. Luck.
