Joli village - dont la belle abbaye St Martin de Boscherville - et visites intéressantes à proximité - dont Jumièges et Rouen -.

Havre de beauté et de calme, un accueil chaleureux, prestations de qualité. Site touristique apprécié, st martin de boscherville est à découvrir. Jardin brodé exceptionnel par sa richesse florale que l'on peut visiter.

This is a private suite at the end of the owner's house with its own little corner of the beautiful garden and its own front door Warm welcome with an aperitif. Everything was good quality, furnishings, towels, bathrobes, shower etc. Interesting art books. Tray with tea, coffee etc which is standard in UK but unusual in France. Copious breakfast. The bistro in the village is only open Friday and Saturday evening, even in August, so we ate in Duclair, not far along the river. Nice village and the abbey garden is well worth visiting. We were en route to Brittany but it would be excellent for visiting Rouen. Altogether a very good stay.

The hosts are very friendly and know the area really well, giving great suggestions for food and sights. There is tea and coffee in the room, blackout blinds, a small but comfortable bed, a variety of sheets (to moderate temperature when sleeping), a private space in the garden for guests (where the host served us Pommeau upon our arrival). Considering there is just one room, the breakfast served is spectacular, with fresh jams and home-made cakes.

We received a wonderful welcome, including an aperatif, from the kind owner. The spotlessly clean room had everything we needed and a quiet corner of the garden is allocated to guests. Lovely breakfast and all excellent value. I recommend staying here when visiting Rouen. Use the restaurants in nearby Duclair.

Can't believe this is the first TA review for this B&B - heaps of people have signed the guestbook (not many in English....). There is only one suite of rooms, catering for a couple (or only 1 person) in this B&B - the rest of the house (a wonderful conversion of a former stables) is the owners home, so we were very lucky to secure a last minute weekend booking. The guest suite is 3 rooms - a private entry into a small living area with a table & 2 chairs; a small bathroom with a shower that has plenty of hot water and pressure; and a nicely decorated bedroom with a very comfortable bed and its own door leading outside to a private sitting area tucked away in a corner of the massive flower filled garden that the owners have lovingly created. All the linens are good quality; dressing gowns and slippers are provided; breakfast is standard French (yoghurt, croissants, baguette & coffee) served on lovely china & with elegant cutlery. There are heaps of guides, brochures and reading materials (although mostly in French) and the owners are very hospitable and willing to make helpful recommendations etc. The location is in a small, charming village 15 - 20 mins out of Rouen, however you do need your own transportation to make the most of a visit to this lovely area. We were only there 2 nights, but wish we could have stayed longer - there is heaps to see and do around this lovely part of France!
