I scheduled (2) 60-minute massage appointments for 1P on August 5, 2023 for my friend’s birthday. We were super excited about spending some time at the spa to celebrate her special day. On the morning of our appointments, I got a text from my disappointed friend stating that she was just notified that her appointment was cancelled because the therapist was out sick. When I called to speak with someone, I asked if they had anyone else that could do her massage or if we could get an appointment for the following week and of course they were completely booked. I was told that her appointment was cancelled, but they would see me at 1P. I informed them that I would not be coming as this was intended to be a girls day at the spa for my friend’s birthday. The associate told me that there would be a $25.00 cancellation fee. I asked to speak to the manager and I was transferred to Amber. Before, I could even discuss my concern, she stated that she was aware of the situation and I would not be charged any cancellation fee. Further, she said that she had spoken with the business manager, Brian Page, before he left. If the management team was aware of this situation, why were they not proactive in finding a viable solution to this situation? They did not any real effort to fix the situation so that my best friend could have her relaxing day at the spa.
I have been to different Massage Envy’s on multiple occasions and never have I been so exasperated by them. My friend and i have an appointment at The Sandford House Spa in Arlington, TX to once again try to celebrate her birthday. I have also been here before and they have amazing therapist and it has more amenities than Massage. Because of this debacle, I have decide to take my business elsewhere
