I was surprised at the depth of the lunch menu, as it's not just sandwiches. We enjoyed generous and hearty portions of cheese ravioli, pasta carbonara, and Chicken pasta natale all from the economically priced lunch menu. All were tasty and interesting. My sauce was a tad acidic, but was balanced well with the sweet onions, wilted spinach, tasty chicken and earthy mushrooms. Lunch was served with a wonderful crusty bread, with seasoned oil for dipping. I thought the oil was rather bland. The wait staff was exceptional and friendly. She brought my friend a birthday cannoli with a candle from her car! So thoughtful!

Will definitely return, as the food was delicious and expertly served with flair in a pleasant atmosphere.

Returned to Reminis today bc I wanted to introduce a friend to the place. It was Halloween, so a few of the servers were appropriately dressed!

I had the same dish as before, Chicken Pasta Natale and it was outstanding! The sauce was a tad sweeter, and so wonderfully balanced. The dish is made up of sauce with onions, mushrooms, spinach, pieces of tomato, and chicken, which was so much more tender than before, over penne pasta, and topped with lots of cheese! Soo delicious!

My friend had Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo of which the sauce was so thick, it was just unpleasant, and was too salty.

The bread dipping oil was still bland, but the bread is good. The service was slow, but the place was very busy at noon. So a hit and a miss.

Don't miss the $9 lunch specials. Huge portions of many dinner dishes at lunch prices.

My family ate dinner last night (kids age 5&8) and we LOVED it. It seems as though reservations are popular here but we lucked out and were sat quickly on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was neat with the open kitchen to watch the chefs prepare food. The bar seemed nice too. We ordered the lasagna for two and the portions were plentiful and the food was DELICIOUS. The dressing on the salad was tasty and the marinara sauce was one of the best we've had! On top of that you could tell the quality of food was great because gluten + bunch of cheese bloats me but after this meal my husband and I felt fine! My kids ordered the ravioli & spaghetti and they loved theirs too! Win win! We shared the caramel cheesecake & tiramisu and they were so good!! We are already looking for excuses to return! Highly recommend and we will be back!!

The food was incredible. The smell of garlic pulls you in to the restaurant. The high top tables to sit at were fun because there's a partial open kitchen. Was happy to see a couple vegetarian options! Had the spinach dip, which was the best I've ever had. It was super creamy and full of spinach, unlike how most places prepare it. Then we ordered the alfredo to share and it was delicious. For the 2 person share - we got 5 servings from it. Incredible value!

Lasagna is the dish to get! Most other dishes I have tried or friends have tried have been ok. We go back mainly for the lasagna with meat sauce, which they only have sporadically, and you have to ask for it (I recommend asking for the meat sauce). Other dishes seem to be low on the seasonings, but that may be a plus for some. The service each time I go is just ok. Not award winning, but also not horrible. The atmosphere is the same, just ok. It's normal. Nothing that will wow you but also nothing that will make you say you don't want to come back. Overall a good pick, especially for family style portions, large parties, and Italian food in Roanoke, VA.

Heard about this place from my husband's cousin so we stopped by. They had tons of to go orders but we were the only ones dining in so we immediately sat down. The server brought out the olive oil and seasoning and I was excited. Usually places that have legitimate oil and seasoning for their bread are good.

I was pleasantly surprised. I got the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. Next time I would just get a kid Alfredo without the shrimp. There were 4 tiny shrimp on my giant plate of pasta. For some reason I though I was going to get 6 shrimp but maybe I read the menu wrong. The food was still good of course so I would still give them 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5).

The kid macaroni was good and very cheesy, just like macaroni should be. I tried my husband's gyro and that was tender and tasty too. My older daughter loved her ravioli and ate almost the whole thing (she's a small six year old).

Overall I would come back again but make sure to order lunch portions or smaller portions of everything.

Update: 7/20/2022

Visited again with my husband’s cousin’s family. We called ahead for reservations since we had a party of 9. So when we got there we sat immediately.

The bread is delicious. My kids loved it and ate a ton. Then we got the family style fettuccine to share among the girls (2 adults and kids were 6, 8, 10, 13 and 16yo). One order of family fettuccine and a side of chicken was enough for all the girls when we ate the bread and a couple appetizers.

My husband and his cousin got their own orders and barely made a dent in them. The portions are huge and tasty.

We will probably be back when we visit again.

Will return for the hummus alone! So tasty. Everything tasted fresh except the table bread. Did I mention the hummus? I need to buy it in bulk.
I didn’t love our server’s bodysuit but service was good. I love that you can see the cooks. Also appreciate the vegetarian options.

Have driven past this place many times but never stopped, but am now wondering why it took me so long. I am huge fan of Italian food and everything my table got was very good! It was moderately full when we came for lunch, but we still received our food quickly. It's priced about what I expected from an Italian Restaurant, so not a place to go to eat if you're trying to be money conscientious, but worth it otherwise. From the start we were greeted with enthusiasm. The restaurant was packed, yet we had but a short wait for our table. The Server came to us in good time, and was excellent. The meal was superb: a fresh, crisp salad and bread with olive oil/seasonings. Shrimp & Scallops over Fettuccine cooked to perfection. Dessert was fabulous: Salted Caramel Cheesecake and a Cannoli. The restaurant was clean. We really enjoyed the whole evening, and will certainly visit again!
