As a local regular who lives and works in the area, receiving an email about the hotel opening in my neighborhood got me excited. Having previously enjoyed the Cannes Hotel Barrière location, I couldn't be happier about this wonderful addition to my community. I absolutely love treating myself to massages around the world, and this cozy yet globally inspired spa has become my favorite spot for a tranquil morning routine. The hotel's sweet scent upon entry is a mood lifter, and the elevator descent to the spa includes a warm French welcome and a refreshing glass of berry water. The locker area provides a chance to freshen up before enjoying the steam room, sauna, and a relaxing hot pool with soothing jets.

Among the diverse massage therapists, Renata shines with her meticulous pressure and thoughtful details like rose petals and aromatic oils. She consistently surprises me with therapeutic movements that expertly ease tension. My experience has left me thrilled! Having a background in the service industry, I deeply appreciate the therapists' wholehearted dedication, using their entire bodies to provide a memorable 90-minute massage. I genuinely hope people recognize and generously compensate these therapists for the substantial effort they put into creating such a rewarding experience. The therapists' ongoing enthusiasm and cheerfulness truly enhance the entire massage session.

I thought this was a very expensive spa for a very average service. I got a facial which was not that amazing. The only have tea and a small extra hot tub/ sauna for after your service. I’ve definitely been to better spas for cheaper. But the worst was the service at the front. She was very snobby and rude. They had issues with my credit card and kept blaming me for it, even though it turned out to be an issue on their end. I don’t like that they included gratuity as well.

I had a really nice time at the Spa, I would recommend this to anyone seeking a quick, quiet, cute relaxing retreat. The massage was incredible, definitely returning soon.

This was one of the best spa experiences I have had. The pricing was better than most other luxury spas in major cities and the facilities were beautiful - it was nice to be in a spa that is new(er) compared to a lot of others in NYC that are old and outdated. The staff was wonderful and went above and beyond in every way. They were attentive, kind and helpful and surprised my group with champagne and macarons as we were there to celebrate friends birthdays (although I don’t remember telling them about this specifically so they must really pay attention to details and take notes. My massage therapist was Tanya and it was one of my best massages. Truly a unique, wonderful and relaxing experience!

Overpriced and Rude.
I visited your spa with two friends on Saturday, 25th May. We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday and did not have a positive guest experience. Firstly, we booked 3 Diane Barriere treatments and we only found out AFTER our treatments that one of us had a "relaxation massage" because there were no other therapists trained in the Diane Barriere treatment (without our consent!). When I inquired about the change with Ben Batista at the front desk, he was incredibly dismissive and rude. Ben stated that the spa left a voicemail for me regarding the change. When I looked back at my voice messages I was contacted on 5th May and no one ever followed-up before our visit, only after our services concluded. I shared this with Ben and he didn't seem to care. Further, I asked whether we could gain access to the rooftop for lunch and he declined stating this was only available to "members and guests" in what I perceived to be a condescending tone. Are we not guests of the spa? After having spent $1000+ in your spa, I find it discriminatory that we were not allowed to have lunch there.

I am beyond disappointed with this experience and will never return to any of your venues and will ensure I share my experience with others!

So I have been here 4 times. The staff at the front is really nice overall. The spa is beautiful , clean and smells amazing. I love the whole vibe. The hot tub is so relaxing too.

However, first massage I got was like a turbo fast style. It was awful. I gave it the benefit of doubt because the hotel just opened.

Second time I was getting breathed on so much while getting massaged. She also stopped 15 min early on accident. Once I brought that to her attention, and ( she realized the mistake )she massaged only my arm for 15 extra min. It was odd. I shouldn’t have to tell her that she didn’t complete the 60 minutes.

Third time I had a nice one with no issues. The spa originally gave a small discount for the previous issue that I put towards this one. However, there was a whole problem with someone from the staff who said something to my sister that I had said which I didn’t. It was really weird it was so uncomfortable. They Apologized .

Now 4th time, my husband came. I asked in advance for spa to tell the specialists to wear a mask. It’s not just about covid anymore. There are many viruses now and would prefer to not catch anything. The specialist had the mask on, but then asked if she would wear it half the time. I said no I would prefer the whole time. I said why? Then proceeded to tell me she is claustrophobic etc etc in a rude way. Then gave a few dramatic coughs. It was so weird and I definitely didn’t want someone who had a problem with me, touching me. So I then asked if this is going to be problem and do you want to switch”? . She was more than happy too and bolted out of the room to trade to massage my husband.
Then I got someone else who was sweet and she was good …but not amazing. But I knocked over an empty juice bottle on the floor that wasn’t mine, she had a loud timer that went off when we were finished. I didn’t ask but the spa didn’t give a discount after spending almost $700 on a weird uncomfortable interaction.

So I would say 1/4 times it was nice massage. However, I really like the spa itself so I’ll keep trying and will ask specifically for the girl I had the third time.
